MBSR programmes
When is the next programme?
English-language programmes are conducted three times a year in winter (Feb-March), spring (May-June) and autumn (Oct-Nov).
Free orientation sessions are held before each programme and attendance at one of these is compulsory prior to enrollment.

What does the MBSR programme include?
The programme consists of eight weekly two-and-a-half hour sessions, plus one full day of instruction, sharing and practice.
The course includes:
- Guided instruction in mindfulness practices
- Gentle stretching and mindful yoga
- Inquiry exercises to enhance awareness in everyday life
- Individually tailored instruction
- Group dialogue
- Daily home assignments (45 mins a day)
- Four audio CDs
- Comprehensive workbook
The instructor
Dr Peta McAuley has practiced as an occupational psychologist in Hong Kong for over 25 years, offering career and general life counseling to a diverse range of clients. Initially trained in psychology in Sydney, Australia, she gained her PhD at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, investigating links between personality and well-being. Dr McAuley has completed three intensive, residential professional MBSR training programmes in the US led by programme founder Dr Jon Kabat-Zinn and staff of the Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center.
